United Chargers announced the sale on November 5 for all Wi-Fi chargers in its US store. The Classic Connect drops from $349.99 to $299.99 with a 3-year warranty; with a 5-year warranty it is $399.99. The J1772 and NACS versions cost the same.
According to the maker, it charges at up to 40 amps (9.6 kW at 240 volts; the page says 10 kW), has a 25-foot cable, a NEMA 14-50 plug, current adjustable from 16 to 40 amps, a UL Type 4 indoor/outdoor enclosure and Wi-Fi with an app. The listing names UL/cUL file E510712, which we did not look up separately. These are manufacturer claims; we found no independent test of this model.
The same sale lists the hardwired Ultimate 48A at $349.99 against an "old price" of $479.99. Archived store pages show it at $383.99 in late September, so the saving there is about $34 rather than $130 (our calculation). We only list the Classic Connect, where the reference price holds up.
There is no federal credit to stack: the IRS says the home charger credit can't be claimed for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Some utilities still pay rebates, but several require Energy Star, which the Classic Connect page does not list. Whether a plug-in unit or a hardwired one suits your garage is covered in “Hardwired or plug-in EV charger? Choose the installation before the box”.
